  3. Meta Pixel + Conversion APIBrowser and server events for Meta
  4. GA4Reports from the same events

A simplified view of a typical setup.

01 — Scope

What I set up and fix.

Systems

  • Meta Pixel
  • Conversion API
  • Events Manager
  • Google Tag Manager
  • GA4
  • Events & attribution

Platforms

  • Shopify
  • WordPress
  • Wix

Signs your tracking needs work

  • Ads Manager and your store or CRM report different numbers
  • Purchases or leads are missing, doubled or arriving late
  • Campaigns optimize for the wrong event
  • Nobody is sure which tags fire where

02 — The Stack

What each tool does.

These tools work together. When one is missing or misconfigured, ad platforms optimize on incomplete data and reports stop matching real sales and leads.

Meta Pixel

A browser script that tells Meta when someone views a page, adds to cart, buys or submits a lead form. Ad blockers and browser privacy settings can stop some of these events from arriving.

Conversion API (CAPI)

Sends the same events from your server or platform directly to Meta, so fewer conversions are lost. Pixel and CAPI events need a shared event ID, otherwise Meta counts the same purchase twice.

Google Tag Manager (GTM)

One place to manage tracking tags without editing site code each time. A tidy container makes it clear which tags fire, when, and on which pages.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

Event-based analytics for your whole site, not only paid traffic. Key events such as purchases and leads need to be marked so GA4 reports on what matters to the business.

03 — Process

How tracking work runs.

  1. AuditCheck which events fire, where, and what each platform receives.
  2. FixSet up or repair Pixel, Conversion API, GTM and GA4.
  3. VerifyTest events end to end, from your site to each platform.

04 — FAQ

Tracking questions.

Yes. An audit checks which events fire, what each platform receives, and where measurement or attribution is going wrong.

No. Tracking work can be booked on its own, without ongoing ad management.

Some difference is normal: platforms use different attribution windows, and Meta can count view-through conversions that your store never links to an ad. Large gaps usually point to a fixable problem, such as blocked browser events, a missing Conversion API, duplicate events or the wrong event set as the campaign goal.

Meta (Pixel, Conversion API and Events Manager), Google Tag Manager and GA4, on Shopify, WordPress and Wix sites.

Usually access to your Meta Business Portfolio and Events Manager, your Google Tag Manager container, your GA4 property, and your website or store admin. The exact list depends on what is being audited or set up.
